Comprehensive service. Quality customer care.
Our Mission
We’re committed to boosting efficiency for single and multi-location companies by consolidating the delivery of quality specialty supplies. We provide customers with the equipment and supplies necessary to solve their money handling, security, distribution, and warehousing needs, with an eye toward simplicity, efficiency, and quality customer service.
How We Operate
One of the benefits of choosing us as your product supplier is that you can leverage our existing facilities to save time and money. We incorporate your custom products to our established production runs, and provide warehousing and distribution. Bulk and multi-item shipments save you administration costs and resources, materials and freight costs. Local warehousing ensures that you get the supplies you need quickly and without the hassles of international logistics. With NSS at the helm, you don’t need to balance vendors, pay duties on foreign shipments or pay to store supplies on-site.
A Customer-Centered Strategy that Works
Family owned and operated, we understand the importance of developing a strong connection with the people we serve. We seek to make customers feel valued and have done so since our inception in 1987.
Although we’ve grown considerably since our first shop in Tillsonburg, Ontario, we haven’t forgotten the people who got us there – our customers. That’s why our Customer Care Team is ready to pick up the phone, answer any questions you might have, and provide meaningful solutions.
Leadership

Aaron Carpani – President & COO
Aaron is a natural born sportsman. That’s why his commitment to teamwork and his drive to help others succeed is at the core of everything he does. He has seamlessly transferred the valuable lessons he learned in his days competing on the ice or turf into his positive leadership approach at Northern Specialty Supplies. As a key player at the company, he gives his all to supporting the team and our valued customers and making sure everyone wins.
Since joining Northern full time in 2010, Aaron’s accuracy and keen eye for detail have helped him to become a key playmaker for the organization. On his watch, the company has adopted lean distribution practices, effectively negotiated costs, and increased inventory turns – key activities that create good business health and successful relationships with key vendor and service partners.
Today, Aaron is the President & COO. His war cry has always been “Continuous Improvement.” He views operational challenges and problems as opportunities to improve business systems, efficiency, and service.
Outside of business and work hours, Aaron can often be found outdoors. He enjoys open fires, hiking, or visiting with family and friends.
In 2017 Aaron received a Level 5 Certificate in Leadership & Management (ILM) and he holds a diploma in Advanced Business Management. He has received multiple certificates for training in the various functions in Operation Management & Accounting – along with a secondary education diploma where he graduated from Sterling Education, Mossley Campus.

Wes Carpani – VP, Sales & Marketing
Wes Carpani was just “one of the boys” in the Carpani family. He has been working at Northern Specialty Supplies since childhood, and by the age of ten he could often be found mowing the lawn, riding his bike or… when no one was watching he’d sneak onto the old Raymond forklift and take it for a drive (which he now acknowledges was very irresponsible and unsafe!).
Wes has been with Northern full time since 2009, doing every function from order fulfillment and inventory control, to vendor management and sales. However, through every role, he has always been more customer-centric than anything. Since 2013 he has been a Sales Representative and National Account Manager, looking after some of Northern’s largest customers. Today, he’s the Vice President overseeing the activities and planning for the Sales and Marketing departments, while maintaining key customer relations and visiting prospective clients.
When not at the office or traveling to meet with customers and clients, Wes enjoys spending time with his wife traveling, visiting local markets or wineries, at one of the nearby Great Lakes or outdoor cooking and visiting with friends on their patio.
Wes holds a diploma in Advanced Business Management, and multiple certificates for training in the various functions in Sales – along with a secondary education diploma where he graduated from Sterling Education, Mossley Campus.
